Box 15 Assists with NAS*T Arson Team August 10, 2009

Box 15 was requested to respond to Charlbury Dr near Upper Arlington this morning. This home was destroyed in a arson fire. Box 15 was requested via NAS*T (Northwest Area Strike Team) at 930am and was on scene for 3 hours. We served 15 investigators from NAS*T and 3 State Fire Marshall personnel. Food was provided by Upper Arlington Fire and a local sub restaurant.
Box 15 Heads West To Prairie Township August 7, 2009

After an almost two month dry spell for responses Box 15 responded to Hilton Ave for a 2nd alarm fire with Prairie Township.
Fire crews were called out around 945am for a report of a fire and upon arrival found a 2 story apartment building with fire from the roof and windows showing upon arrival by E241. Box 15 responded on the 2nd alarm assingment and arrived around 1030am. Crews served 50 firefighters 4 cases of water plus Squwencher.

Box 15 Responds with Columbus Units to Wisconsin Ave June 14, 2009

Box 15 crews responded with 2nd alarm companies to Wisconsin Ave on the near westside of Columbus. Crews arrived on scene of a 2 story home with fire showing. Shortly after the crews entered the structure one firefighter fell into a hole and a mayday was called. RIC were sent in and a quick recovery was made.
Box 15 crews activated on the 2nd alarm and were on scene within a half hour and served 40 firefighters seven cases of water. Box 15 crews were on scene for an hour.

Box 15 Responds to the Muirfield Village Area of Dublin. May 28, 2009

Box 15 was requested to respond to Springburn Dr at 9pm yesterday evening. Washington Township Fire crews were sent to a home on a report of a fire there and when 1st arriving crews marked on scene they called a working fire on a 2 story large 4000 sq ft residential home with heavy fire showing. Crews from Liberty Twp, Concord Twp, and Norwich Twps also were called in for mutual aid.
Box 15 was on scene for 2 1/2 hours served 50 fire, police and dispatch personnel. 5 cases of water were handed out with 1 gallon of sqwincher served.

Box 15 Responds to Prairie Township Fire May 27, 2009

Box 15 was called this morning for a working multi-family condo fire on the far westside of Columbus on Tarryton Court. 1st arriving engine, engine#241 had fire showing through the roof of a 2 story 6 unit condo. Crews battled the blaze for well over and hour with the help of mutual aid. Including the Franklin County Sheriff deputies who help lead people out of the burning building before the arrival of the fire crews.
Box 15 was on scene for just over an hour, we served 40 firefighters 4 cases of water and a gallon of coffee.

Box 15 Responds to Norwich Twp on Warehouse Fire May 24, 2009

Box 15 units responded as Norwich Twp Fire started units for a 2nd alarm at 3701 Lacon Rd. Crews responded to Station 30 where Box 15 truck 2 is housed. The 1st arriving units to the fire reported heavy fire in a 1 story office attached to a warehouse. Ladder companies were brought in from the west and northsides of Columbus, and move up companies were brought in to Norwich Fire stations to assist in covering the township.
Crews battled the fire for well over 3 hours and remained on scene overnight. Box 15 was on scene within 30 minutes of the 1st reports of the fire and stayed on scene for well over 3 hours. Box 15 served roughly 90 firefighters and police with 10 cases of water, 60 hamburgers and several gallons of sqwencher drinks.
