Box 15 Responds Overnight to 2nd Alarm House Fire May 20, 2009

Box 15 crews were awaken much like the rest of the units to a house fire on Glen Echo Dr in the city of Columbus overnight. The two alarm fire took 45 minutes to contain and damage has been estimated at $125,000.
Engine 13 was sent just before the 1st calls to the area on a report of an auto fire. With Columbus Police helicopter looking for the auto fire, the calls poured into 911 of the house fire. 1st units on scene had a 2 story home fully involved with exposures to the north and south of the house catching fire. A 2nd alarm was struck and crews brought in to help with tackling the blaze on the exposures.
Box 15 was on scene within 1/2 hour of the alarm time. We helped 60+ firefighters rehydrate with four cases of water. Box 15 was on scene for one hour.
